Chapter one
Letters of the Name Really do have
Meaning!
E
ach letter in your name has it’s own specific
meaning. Taken in combination, the letters give us the strength and
tenacity to become great leaders or the ability to follow those in
command.
A person’s name may be the single most important
guiding force in their life. With a name, a person is an
individual. They are someone who has to be reckoned with; no longer
a body holding space but a person who requires
attention.
Some names give more authority to a person. Other
names allow a person to be more benign. They can be happy with
living life and letting others take responsibility for the world
and its happenings.
There are even names, which make its wearer more
susceptible to whining because things never go their way. Wearing
their feelings on their shoulders, they assume nothing will ever go
right for them.
We are the sum total of our names. The surname is
very important in our life but the given name at birth is of equal
or more importance. When the first, middle and last name combine,
it can make a very strong impression on the person wearing the
name.
Our name shapes our personality. It expresses our
characteristics in the most personal of ways. The spelling and the
letters dictate who we are and what our lives will become. It has a
direct influence on everything we achieve in
life.
Look at the first name of the man who fought at
Valley Forge, George Washington, the father of our country. The
“G,” of which he has two, shows that he is a friend of mysticism or
religion and has a methodical determination. Not only was President
Washington a decisive methodical general but he also believed quite
strongly in the “Mason’s,” which some considers
mystical.
The “E,” being the first vowel in his name, has a
very strong influence on his life. With it not only being the first
vowel but also appearing twice in his name, it has an even stronger
meaning that there will always be a crowd around good old George.
Looking at the United States Armies he commanded, that was probably
true.
Over zealous in his beliefs because of the little
“O” placed in his name, he was ready to tackle the British, the
greatest war machine of it’s time, for the good of the
Colonists.
The “R” in his name gave him the ability to be a
hard worker and to plod on in his efforts to rid the Colonies of
the British and anyone else who got in his way.
Placement of the letters in his name had a direct
influence on how he perceived life. Had he been called Gorge, he
might not have been the father of our country. Without the added
“E,” he may have been unable to rally an army.
When we are confident with our names, we appear more
self-assured to others. People are more apt to agree to follow a
leader who seems to know where he is going in
life.
The spelling of the name has a direct influence on
how the bearer of the name is perceived by those around
him.
If the person wearing the name is proud of their
name, they walk taller. Not weighed down by what they consider a
horrible name, they exhibit more pride in themselves. When a person
is proud of themselves, he is more likely to become a responsible
citizen.
Taking this into consideration, please note that the
first vowel, in the name brings considerable strength or weakness
to the name. It is one of the most important letters in the name.
If it occurs more than once, it has more influence. Some vowels,
such as the “A,” if they occur more than twice, can have a
weakening influence on the name. Character of the person may be
challenged for the rest of their life. They may have to fight its
influence time and again.
My name is Da Juana. Because the name is separated
by a space, there are only two “A’s” in part of the first name. My
parents separated the name. If there were three “A’s” in the first
name, then I would have to guard against appearing to be very
selfish. People with three or more “A’s” sometimes tend to think
more of themselves than others.
Take the name Larry. There are two “R’s” which sit
side by side. That makes the “R’s” very important in Larry’s name.
The letter “R” makes all things possible for this individual.
Having it hit the name twice causes them to believe they are
capable of anything. With the “A” in front of the two “R’s,” it
gives this person determination. He thinks he can reach for the
stars.
Reaching for the stars is good, but he also needs
something in the name to tone it down a little. Otherwise, he may
always be reaching but never grasping. The “Y” in the name tends to
tone the two “R’s” down a little. By giving the person some
challenges in life, it makes them more aware that they have to
crawl before they can walk. This letter lets them know they need
others but it also makes them want to achieve all they can on their
own.
The surname is very important but the given name is
more so. Parents should think very carefully before they attach a
name to their new baby. Great attention should be made to the
spelling and the combination of the given name, middle name and the
surname.
Before attaching a given and middle name, break down
the surname to see what positive and negative characteristics are
needed to balance it. Then add the equalizing qualities in the
given and middle names. This effort is certainly worth the time
because the child will carry his or her given and middle names for
life even though they may not always carry the
surname.
Parents need to be careful when putting what they
consider cute names together such as the given name of Rainy with a
surname of Day. Giving the child the name Rainy Day could lead to
many complications. Not only will other people look at the child
when they become an adult as if they are not credible but they will
see them as flighty people with their heads in the clouds. This
will make the child less confident or a problem child who thinks
they have to fight for everything they want.
The child will be one who will only be considered
successful when working with humanitarian prospects (The “R” and
the “I.”). The “Y” will keep them continuously on guard, a solitary
person, wrestling with challenges in everyday
life.
In this case it is not only the spelling but also
the image this name projects. Think about it. Most people have a
problem with a rainy day even when it is needed. Though some people
may tend to curl up with a book and relax, most fuss about it being
so wet and dreary.
Uncommon names are not bad. On the contrary, they
can help a person achieve more in life. Because of the name and
it’s spelling, they want to work harder to be successful in all
aspects of their life.
Be careful of nicknames such as Bobby. With three
“B’s” in the name, it makes the bearer of the name very
co-dependent. The “O” makes them want to always start something
new, which they may or may not finish. Bobby could have a harder
time relating to others. The “Y” presents many challenges with the
combination of the “B’s” and the “O.”
Give a child the name you want them to have in order
to be a successful, independent and caring
individual.
A surname is generally one that cannot be changed
unless going through the courts to do so. With that in mind you can
lighten the surname or make it stronger by giving an intelligent
given name.
Look at the surname “Heiman.” This is a very strong, successful
name. The “H” suggest someone who will be successful in any
endeavor. With the “E,” and the “I,” this person needs to be in the
limelight in their field of endeavor but at the same time, they
also have a strong need to be alone. Travel is indicated in their
life. The “M” and “A” suggests new beginnings and strong
foundations. Family and a sense of family values mean a lot to this
person.
In looking for a given name, one might want to
soften the aloofness of this individual by giving a name that
brings others more solidly into this surname’s life. Otherwise,
this person may always feel a sense of having to go it
alone.
When one uses their whole name or only part of the
name, this brings out the personality traits they need at the time.
Either it softens or strengthens the other parts of the name. Use
of this method will give the person stronger
characteristics.
The given name, Claude, is one of needing family and
family circumstances in their life. The “C,” “L,” and “U” insists
upon it. The “A” sitting in its position in this name makes the
individual one who likes to be dominant. Willing to sacrifice for
the strong foundation he needs is what the “D” brings to the name.
Cleverness and adventure are synonymous with the “E.” Needing home
and family, he also wants the independence to be able to get away
for a while. The importance of the matter lies in the fact that he
can always return home. This name has just enough ego that the
family letters do not make the person overly dependent on
others.
As seen the combination of letters poses a distinct
relationship to create personality characteristics within the name.
Looking at your own name, its combination of letters and the
letters themselves can give you a very important insight into your
own personality, its strengths and its challenges. Then you can
make a conscious decision on how to strengthen the weaknesses you
feel your name possesses.
